Biographical Information[edit]

Fred Luderus was a first baseman who had a 12-year major league career in the National League in the dead-ball era, hitting a lot of home runs in the Baker Bowl in Philadelphia, PA where he played along with Gavvy Cravath and Sherry Magee with the Philadelphia Phillies. In the year of his major league debut, Luderus had led the Wisconsin-Illinois League with a .321 average for the Freeport Pretzels.
