Biographical Information

Francisco López pitched for the Dominican national team in the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games. Debuting against Nicaragua, he relieved Miguel Rosario in the 5th with a 4-2 lead. He whiffed Benjamín Alegría and Melvin Novoa then walked Juan Montes and Elián Miranda doubled. José Alberto Molina succeeded him and got out of the inning. His other two outings were not as good as he allowed four hits, four walks and four runs (all earned) while retiring only one batter (a strikeout of Andrys Pérez). He tied for 8th in games pitched but was the only Dominican hurler with an ERA over 9.
