Biographical Infornmation[edit]
Second baseman Ferdinand 'Ferdi' Reed played professionally from 1963 to 1966 in the Baltimore Orioles system. He would split 1963 between the Rookie Bluefield Orioles and A-ball Fox Cities Foxes. In 1964 and 1965, Reed would stay in A-ball in the California League with the Stockton Ports where he hit .287 in 1964 and .281 in 1965. In his final campaign in 1966, Reed would hit .221 in 96 games for the Single A Miami Marlins of the Florida State League.
