Biographical Information[edit]

Ethan Cole has pitched in the US and Australia.

Undrafted, Cole signed with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2011. He was 1-1 with a 5.91 ERA for the 2011 Batavia Muckdogs. In 2012, he was the second-most-used reliever for the Quad City River Bandits (after Heath Wyatt) and did very well (4-1, Sv, 1.98). Despite that success, St. Louis did not retain his services for 2013. He signed with the independent Kansas City T-Bones and struggled (0-8, Sv, 6.30, 120 H in 80 IP). He tied for 6th in the American Association in losses. He then signed with the Canberra Cavalry of the Australian Baseball League. In the 2013 Asia Series, he was the first hurler to start an Asia Series finale for an ABL team. He allowed five hits and four unearned runs (thanks to errors by Jon Berti and Shane Opitz) in 2 1/3 IP before Eric Massingham relieved; the Cavalry rallied to become the first Australian team to win an Asia Series.
