Biographical Information[edit]

Erik Bakich is a college coach.

Bakich hit .315 with 85 RBI for East Carolina University in 1999-2000. He hit .211/?/.282 for the 2000 Springfield Capitals. In '01, he batted .158 between three different independent league teams.

Erik was a volunteer assistant coach at Clemson University in 2002 and became an assistant at Vanderbilt University in 2003 including being recruiting coordinator. He helped net Pedro Alvarez, David Price and Dominic de la Osa among others for Vanderbilt. In June 2009, he was named head coach at the University of Maryland, the 6th head coach in school history. After only three seasons, Bakich moved to the University of Michigan as head coach for 2013. After the 2022 season, Bakich returned to Clemson, this time as head coach.
