He was two wins shy of the league leader Chin-Chih Huang. In game 5 of the finals, he teamed with Huang to lead the Agan to the championship.

Quintanilla resurfaced in 2004 as a closer for the Tijuana Toros, going 6-2 with 11 saves and a 3.46 ERA. With the 2005 Oaxaca Warriors, Enrique was 4-3 with 8 saves and a 5.25 ERA. In 2006, he went 8-7 with a 4.50 ERA for Oaxaca. He followed that with a 8-8, 4.49 campaign. He fell to 1-8, 8.95 in 2008 with 101 hits in 61 1/3 IP.
