Oramas made his pro debut with the 2007 DSL Padres, going 2-3 with a 3.81 ERA. He struck out 63 in 54 1/3 innings and allowed only 39 hits (one home run). He went 9-1 with a 2.31 ERA and allowed a .219 average. He tied Francisco Campos for the Mexican League lead in ERA. He split the Rookie of the Year award with Japhet Amador.
Oramas is on Mexico's roster for the 2009 Baseball World Cup.
