Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Endy Rodríguez was a member of the National League team at the 2023 Futures Game, then made his major league debut with the Pittsburgh Pirates less than 10 days later, on July 17, 2023. He formed a debut battery with starting pitcher Quinn Priester, a fellow top prospect who he had caught in the minors, most recently with the AAA Indianapolis Indians. It was the first time two Pirates made their debut as a battery since Cookie Cuccurullo and Hank Camelli back in 1943!
