Biographical Information[edit]
Cookie Cuccurullo, also known as "Art Cuccurullo", pitched for the Pittsburgh Pirates during World War II. He was one of the league saves leaders in 1944.
He had ten seasons in the minors, winning at least 84 games. With the Albany Senators in 1943, he went 20-8.
His name is a favorite among fans that like unusual names.
