Biographical Information[edit]

Dylan Mazzo attended Misericordia University from 2009-2013 and played baseball there while earning a degree in Government, Law, and National Security. He continued his education at Lindenwood University which led to a master's degree in administration. His sojourn at Lindenwood also started his coaching career. He started as a graduate assistant coach, but was promoted to an assistant coaching position for the 2014-2015 seasons. And just for a change of pace, Mazzo worked as a clubhouse manager for the independent Gateway Grizzlies in the summer of 2014. Mazzo returned to Misericordia as an assistant coach for 2016-2017 followed by one year at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. He spent fall 2018 with the University of Charleston Golden Eagles where he was the offensive coordinator & outfield coach. This job marked the end of his college coaching career.

In 2019 the Los Angeles Angels hired Mazzo as a defensive coach. He spent 2019 with the Mobile BayBears and was headed to the AZL Angels in 2020 before COVID-19 shut down the minor league season. Mazzo served in this role in 2021 with the renamed ACL Angels.

Mazzo moved to the Houston Astros organization in 2022 as the development coach for the Corpus Christi Hooks. In 2023 he was the development coach for the Fayetteville Woodpeckers.
