Taitt's pro career lasted from 1925 to 1947. He collected 2,150 minor league hits, leading the Southern Association with 19 triples in 1931, 194 hits, 17 HR, and a .355 average in 1935 and 20 HR and 132 RBI in 1936.
Taitt was owner of the Tyler Trojans in 1946. He was suspended by the league in August and sold his interest in the club to his co-owner and was promptly released.
