Doug McPhail

Biographical Information[edit]
Doug McPhail, a Manitoba native, played college ball in the US. He then was with Team Canada for a number of international tournaments. He was an All-Star outfielder in the 1982 Amateur World Series, joined by Shih-Chiang Chao and Jordan Berge. His 17 hits tied Chao and Charles Urbanus Jr. for the Series lead. He hit .415/.455/.415 and was 6th in average, between Hua-Wei Lin and Larry Downes). He also played in the 1981 Intercontinental Cup, 1983 Intercontinental Cup, 1983 Pan American Games, 1984 Olympics and 1985 Intercontinental Cup.
