Biographical Information[edit]
Dong-yeon Kang has pitched in the Korea Baseball Organization and for the South Korean national team.
Kang was signed by the Doosan Bears in 2011. He made his KBO debut in 2013, with two innings (1 UER, 1 H, 1 K). He allowed 5 hits and 3 runs in one inning in 2014. After not appearing in '15, he had a 8.22 ERA and 1.96 WHIP in 11 games in 2016. He then joined the Sangmu Phoenix military team. He pitched for South Korea when they won Bronze in the 2017 Asian Championship. In his lone outing, he relieved Chae-heung Choi with one out in the 8th against Silver Medal winner Taiwan. In 1 2/3 IP, he allowed 3 hits, a walk and two unearned runs to take the loss.
