Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Don Prybylinski played in the St. Louis Cardinals system from 1990 to 1994. He was taken by the club in the 20th round of the 1990 amateur draft, one pick after catcher Damian Miller.
He slashed .325/.424/.442 with 50 hits and 26 walks in 45 games for the AZL Cardinals his first year (tying Marc Newfield and Pedro Vazquez for the Arizona League-lead with 13 doubles) and by his second he was in Triple-A, where he hit .254/.329/.313 in 24 games for the Louisville Redbirds (he hit .210/.270/.274 in 72 games on the year as a whole). He batted below .200 the next two seasons and in the .250s in 1994 to wrap up his career.
Overall, he hit .227/.305/.292 with 2 home runs and 67 RBI in 290 games.
Prior to playing professionally, he had been named to the 1989 Missouri Valley Conference Tournament All-Tournament team.
