Biographical Information[edit]
Don Labbruzzo was a minor league executive.
After serving in World War II, he was Public Relations Director for the Syracuse Chiefs (1954), Assistant GM of the Columbus Jets (1955-1957) and GM of the Buffalo Bisons (1958-1960). He was GM for Syracuse from 1961-1969 and for the 1970 Bisons. Labbruzzo had spent a lot of his own money trying to keep the Bisons in Buffalo. He was GM of the 1977-1978 Rochester Red Wings and Executive VP of the Louisville Redbirds in the early 1980s. In 2015, he was posthumously inducted into the International League Hall of Fame in a class with Marc Bombard and Marshall Brant.
