Biographical Information[edit]
Don Alexander was the pitching coach at San Diego Mesa College for seven seasons.
Alexander was the pitching coach of the Auburn Astros in 1990-1991, Osceola Astros in 1992, Asheville Tourists in 1993, Auburn again in 1994-1995, and Quad City River Bandits in 1996. Moving to the San Diego Padres chain, he was the pitching coach of the Mobile BayBears in 1997-1999. On to the Cincinnati Reds' organization, Alexander was pitching coach of the Dayton Dragons in 2000. He then spent 4 years coaching at the high school level.
Returning to the Astros, Alexander was then pitching coach of the Tri-City ValleyCats in 2005-2008, Lancaster JetHawks in 2009-2010, Corpus Christi Hooks in 2011, and Lancaster again in 2012-2015.
