Biographical Information[edit]
Dilshan Jayasinghe was on the Sri Lankan team in the 2018 Asian Junior Championship. [1] In the 2019 Asian Championship, he debuted for the Sri Lankan national team. In his first game, he replaced Sampath Ruwan Kumara in right field late in a loss to Hong Kong and singled off Chi-Kam Kenneth Chiu in his lone at-bat. Starting against Taiwan, he struck out against Po-Yu Chen and Tsung-Hao Wang and made two errors in three chances in right. He also replaced Asanka Lakmal in right late in a win over Pakistan. He tied Naween Kasthuri Mudali and Juan Alvaro Macasaet for 3rd in the event in errors, behind Umair Imdad Bhatti and Muhammad Zakir. [2]
