Biographical Information

Devon Lowery was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 14th round of the 2001 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Junior Vizcaino and made his pro debut that summer.

Lowery, the Omaha Royals 2008 Pitcher of the Year, was called up by the Kansas City Royals on September 2, 2008 and made his debut three days later. However, his major league career consisted of only five games that September, during which he posted a 10.38 ERA in 4 1/3 innings.
