Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Dennis Bigley played in the Toronto Blue Jays system in 2005 and 2006. He was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 29th round of the 2001 amateur draft, but did not sign; he did sign after being taken by Toronto in the 22nd round of the 2005 amateur draft, ahead of future MLB veterans Logan Morrison, Tommy Hanson and Jaime Garcia. He was signed by scout Ty Nichols. In 2004, he had been named All-American by the American Baseball Coaches Association, joining the likes of Alex Gordon, Kurt Suzuki, Jered Weaver and Huston Street on the first team. He was 1-2 with a 5.40 ERA in 16 games (8 starts) for the Pulaski Blue Jays in 2005 and 3-0 with 8 saves and a 1.71 ERA in 22 games between Pulaski and the Auburn Doubledays in 2006.

His brother, Evan Bigley, played professionally from 2008 to 2014.
