Biographical Information[edit]
Del Youngblood was in the Air Force then appeared in the 1959 College World Series. He was head coach of St. Mary's College of California in 1969, then was assistant coach at Cal-Berkeley for four years. He managed the San Jose Bees in 1975. He led them to a 67-73 record, finishing seventh in the league. He had been general manager of the Reno Silver Sox in 1974, and replaced Joe Azcue as manager in July. He was also head coach of the University of Nevada, Reno from 1980-1982.
