Biographical Information

David Popkins was an outfielder in the St. Louis Cardinals system from 2012-2014, hitting .278/.346/.409 and reaching AA. His best year, he batted .317/.377/.463 for the '13 Palm Beach Cardinals, second to Brent Keys in average in the Florida State League. He then spent three years in the independent leagues, popping twenty homers one year. After his playing career ended, he coached.

In 2021, he was a coach for the Great Lakes Loons. In 2022, he was named hitting coach of the Minnesota Twins.
