Biographical Information[edit]
David González was 0 for 6 with a run and two walks for Panama in the 2006 Central American and Caribbean Games. He went 2 for 4 in the 2006 Americas qualifier for the 2008 Olympics. In the 2007 Pan American Games, he was 2 for 10 with a run as Panama's starting catcher.
He hit .250/.333/.375 with four RBI in 16 at-bats in the 2011 Baseball World Cup, splitting DH duties for Panama with Fernando Seguignol (Seguignol played 1B when Gonzalez was at DH). He was 0 for 3 in the 2011 Pan American Games, backing up at C, 1B and LF. He helped Panama to a Silver Medal in the 2013 Central American Games. In the 2013 Bolivarian Games, he batted .294/.478/.294 with six runs and five RBI as Panama won the Gold; he started at catcher for the champs.
