Biographical Information[edit]

Dave Nolasco pitched as high as AA; his brother Ricky Nolasco was an All-Star in the majors.

Dave was taken by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 23rd round of the 2001 amateur draft, a few rounds before Milwaukee took Manny Parra. He was 3-3 with two saves and a 4.43 ERA that summer for the Ogden Raptors. He was third on the club with 20 games pitched. In 2002, Dave went 2-2 with a save and a 5.65 ERA for the Beloit Snappers. He split '03 between the High Desert Mavericks (3-5, 5.44) and Huntsville Stars (3-2, 3.58). In his final season, he was only 3-6 with a save, a 7.40 ERA and a 1.94 WHIP for the Mavericks.

Overall, Nolasco was 14-18 with 4 saves and a 5.68 ERA in 126 minor league games (18 starts). In 312 1/3 IP, he allowed 373 hits and 134 walks while fanning 213.
