Biographical Information[edit]

Dave Milstien played in the minor leagues and CPBL.

Milstien was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 8th round of the 1986 Amateur Draft, and he hit .271/.304/.336 in his first season for the Elmira Pioneers. He recorded a .221/.250/.238 batting line for the Winter Haven Red Sox in 1987, then he played 120 games with a .215/.223/.280 batting line in 1988. Milstien improved to .252/.301/.281 for the New Britain Red Sox in 1989, but his batting line fell to .215/.260/.247 in 1990. He then bounced back with a .278/.368/.343 batting line in 1991, and he also played 19 games with a .203/.277/.203 batting line for the AAA Pawtucket Red Sox. Milstein hit .248/.284/.308 with 11 doubles as a utility infielder for Pawtucket in 1992, then he had a .252/.284/.318 batting line in 1993.

In 1994, Milstein went to the Chicago White Sox, and he hit .236/.295/.305 in 57 games for the AAA Nashville Sounds. He had a .327/.413/.429 batting line with the Beloit Snappers in 1995, and he hit .276/.361/.407 in for the Stockton Ports. Milstein also played 11 games in Nashville, and his batting line was .235/.297/.265. The Wei Chuan Dragons of Taiwan then signed him, but Milstein only went 1-for-15 in 1996, and his professional career ended.
