Biographical Information[edit]

Darryl McNealy was the brother of Derwin McNealy Sr. and uncle of Derwin McNealy Jr. Darryl McNealy played two seasons in the minor leagues.

Darryl McNealy was not the most famous Darryl on his high school team - that was Darryl Strawberry. Other teammates bound for the pros included his twin bother Derwin and Chris Brown. Amazingly, the team did not win the state title, stopped by a club led by John Elway. Darryl McNealy was picked in the 7th round of the 1979 amateur draft, 14 rounds before his twin brother; Derwin would last six more seasons, though.

Darryl McNealy debuted as a pro with the Great Falls Giants. The first baseman batted .200/.322/.232 in 36 games. He ended his career with the 1980 GCL Yankees, a teammate of brother Derwin. Darryl was 2 for 14 with a walk to end his career.
