Biographical Information[edit]

Daniel Federman has pitched in the minors and for the Israeli national team. His high school made it to the national championship. [1] As a college freshman, he was 2-4 with a team-leading 2.25 ERA. Collegiate Baseball named him a Freshman All-American. [2] He was 3-5 with a 3.51 ERA and 60 K in 48 2/3 IP over 35 appearances as a sophomore in 2019. He was 0-1 with 3 saves and a 2.08 ERA when the 2020 season was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic. In '21, he had a 4-4, 4.08 record. He fanned 15 and had a 0.93 ERA in 9 2/3 IP for the Chatham Anglers of the Cape Cod League. The Baltimore Orioles signed him as an undrafted free agent.

In the summer of 2021, he pitched for the FCL Orioles Black (one shutout inning) and Delmarva Shorebirds (6 R, 4 ER in 12 IP). The next year, he struggled for Delmarva (0-6, 6.59) and the Aberdeen Ironbirds (0-3, 2 Sv, 4.20). He tied for third in the O's chain in losses. He then suited up for Israel in the 2023 World Baseball Classic and made one appearance. He relieved Joey Wagman in the 7th with a 9-0 loss against Puerto Rico. He turned in a solid frame, getting ground-outs from Johneshwy Fargas, Nelson Velázquez and Vimael Machín. Jack Weinberger replaced him in the 8th. [3] He opened 2023 back with Aberdeen.
