Cuban National Amateur Baseball League
The Cuban National Amateur Baseball League (Liga Nacional de Baseball Amateur) was formed in 1914 and ran for the next 46 years as one of the strongest amateur leagues in the world. Numerous future major leaguers played in the circuit, especially during its peak in the 1930s and early 1940s. Unlike the Cuban Winter League, the Amateur League was segregated until later in its existance. Connie Marrero, Agapito Mayor, Nap Reyes, Bobby Estalella, Sandy Consuegra, Pedro Dibut and Julio Moreno were among the league's top stars.
