Biographical information[edit]

The son of Ken Griffey Sr. and the brother of Ken Griffey Jr., outfielder Craig Griffey was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 42nd round of the 1991 amateur draft. He played seven years in the minors accumulating a .224 batting average and topping out in AAA (only three games, .333 batting average). All seven seasons were spent in the Mariners chain, save for 55 games which he spent in the Cincinnati Reds chain to close out his career.
