Biographical Information

Pitcher Concepcion Cruz played in Mexico from 1962 to 1979. He was generally a relief pitcher, but started a few games toward the beginning of his career. In 1968, he was 14-8 with a 2.64 ERA in 31 games (24 starts) for the Mexico City Tigers. In relief, he posted ERAs as low as 2.22 (1975), 2.29 (1976) and 2.81 (1978).

Overall, he was 56-64 with a 3.66 ERA in 389 games (87 starts) in his Mexican League career. He spent the majority of his career with Mexico City and the Monterrey Sultanes. He also spent time in the Mexican Center League and Mexican Southeast League.
