Biographical Information[edit]
Colin Sampson was on the South African national team in the 1998 Baseball World Cup. He started two games. He lost to Shinji Udaka and Japan, going four innings (4 H, 6 BB, 6 R, 5 ER); Barry Armitage took over. He also dropped a decision to Franklin Rodriguez and Panama, lasting 1 1/3 IP (3 H, 2 BB, 3 R, 3 ER); Mark Du Plessis succeeded him. He was second to Glen Morris on the team in losses while tying Liall Mauritz for their third-highest ERA.
