Liall Mauritz pitched for South Africa in international tourneys, including the Olympics. In the 1998 Baseball World Cup, he was 0-1, giving up five runs in 3 1/3 IP. During the 2000 Olympics, he had a 0-1, 8.38 record, giving up 13 hits and 4 walks in 9 2/3 innings; he had a solid outing against the Japanese national team but was shelled by Team USA, the eventual Gold Medalists.

Mauritz was 0-1 in the 2001 Baseball World Cup, allowing two hits, two walks and two runs and only retiring one batter. He lost his lone decision and had the highest ERA on South Africa's staff. The 35-year-old was in action for the 2005 Baseball World Cup, going 0-1 with 6 runs in two innings, losing to Team Canada. Opponents went 8 for 14 off of him with three home runs.

He was pitching coach for South Africa in the 2017 U-18 Baseball World Cup.
