Wes Parker is the only major leaguer from Claremont McKenna College, which was known as Claremont Men's College at the time. Rick Carver and Pat Murphy coached here. Ila Borders made history when she became the first woman to pitch in a NCAA baseball game, facing Claremont.
Claremont College began combined athletics with Harvey Mudd College in 1960. Scripps College was combined in 1977.
