Biographical Information[edit]

Chun-Chang Su pitched in the CPBL.

Su represented Taiwan in the 2018 World University Baseball Championship, allowing two unearned runs in two innings and beating the US. In the 2018 U-23 Baseball World Cup, he allowed one unearned run in four innings and lost to Venezuela. During the 2019 World Port Tournament, he beat Curaçao and Ruderly Manuel, saved a win over Japan and beat Chris Koeiman in another win over Curaçao. He had a 2.79 ERA and was among the leaders in opponent average (.176, 4th), IP (9 2/3, 6th, between Lars Huijer and Koeiman), strikeouts (12, 2nd, 2 behind Ross Vance), wins (1st), saves (tied for 2nd) and appearances (4, tied for first).

The Lamigo Monkeys selected him in the first round of the 2019 CPBL Draft, and he had a 12.27 ERA in 8 games in his rookie year. Su became an important part of Monkeys' bullpen in 2020, and he pitched 60 games with a 4.62 ERA and 14 holds. He ranked 4th in the league in appearances (between Tzu-Peng Huang and Chun-Yen Huang) and 5th in holds (10 behind Chun-Wei Wu). Su slumped to a 6.75 ERA in 22 games in 2021, and he only pitched 8 games in 2022. He struggled again in 2023, and he had a 7.78 ERA in 21 relief outings.

Su's repertoire includes a fastball (peak 91.3 mph), and forkball.
