Biographical Information[edit]
Christian Frias began his college career at Jarvis Christian College and transferred to the University of Rio Grande for the 2010 season. He signed with Toronto Blue Jays as a free agent and played in their minor league system from 2010-2012.
Frias entered the coaching profession as an assistant coach with the University of Rio Grande from 2014-2016. He moved to the Wabash Valley College Warriors as a hitting coach for the 2017-2019 seasons.
In 2020 the Baltimore Orioles chose Frias as their fundamentals coach for the GCL Orioles before COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the minor league season. He was then a coach for the FCL Orioles Orange in 2021 and manager of the FCL Orioles in 2022-2024.
Frias is the godson of Hall of Famer Roberto Alomar, the first to be enshrined in Cooperstown as a Toronto Blue Jay.
