Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Chris Morrow played in the minor leagues from 1988 to 1995, peaking at Triple-A. He was originally taken by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 13th round of the 1988 amateur draft, a few picks ahead of utility player Mike Robertson and also ahead of notable pitcher Paul Byrd. He began his pro career at 18 years old.

Per records available, he played 100-plus games just twice and had 100-plus hits once. Perhaps his best campaign was 1991, when he hit .318/.353/.439 with 115 hits in 109 games between two clubs. He reached Triple-A for the first time in 1992, hitting .284/.333/.388 in 24 games for the Albuquerque Dukes; he played 108 games on the year as a whole. With the Vero Beach Dodgers in 1993, he hit .310/.352/.510 with 13 home runs and 66 RBI in 88 games. After a year in the Mexican League (hitting .232/.322/.291 in 45 games for the Minatitlan Petroleros), he returned to affiliated ball in 1995, wrapping up his career in the San Francisco Giants system in 1995.

Overall, Morrow hit .271/.325/.413 with 47 home runs and 275 RBI in 608 games of affiliated ball.
