Biographical Information[edit]

Ching-Min Lin pitched in the CPBL for 6 years.

Lin was drafted by the Macoto Cobras in the third round of the 2005 CPBL Draft, and he was 2-4 with a 8.22 ERA in his rookie year. The Cobras became the DMedia T-Rex in 2008, and he was 1-4 with a 5.32 ERA in that season. However, the T-Rex were expelled after the 2008 season, and Lin went undrafted in the special draft. After staying with amateur teams in 2009, the Lamigo Monkeys signed him in 2010.

Lin had a 2.57 ERA in 12 appearances in 2010, and he pitched 41 games with a 2.89 ERA in 2011. He threw 1/3 of a shutout inning in the 2011 Taiwan Series Game 2, and the Monkeys were beaten by the Uni-President Lions in 5 games. Lin had a 7.34 ERA in 24 games in 2012, and he pitched 1 1/3 shutout innings in the 2012 Taiwan Series Game 3. The Monkeys beat the Lions in 5 games, and Lin won his only title. He stayed in the minor league for the entire 2013 season, then he announced his retirement. Lin coached the Monkeys from 2017 to 2022, and he started to work as an assistant coach for the Fu Jen Catholic University in 2023.

Overall, Lin was 2-5 with a 4.53 ERA, struck out 107 and pitched 200 2/3 innings in 6 seasons in the CPBL.
