Biographical Information[edit]
Ching-Kuo Chen played in the CPBL and for the Chinese Taipei national baseball team.
Chen represented Taiwan in the 1989 World Junior Championship, 1995 Asian Championship and 1995 Intercontinental Cup. In the 1995 Cup, he hit .263/.250/.579 with 7 RBI in 5 games; he had 8 putouts, one assist and no errors in right field. He was second on Taiwan in RBI, one behind Chao-Hui Wu. The China Times Eagles signed Chen in 1996. The Kaohsiung native played well in his rookie year, when h recorded a .280/.365/.421 batting line with 9 dingers. However, Chen was involved in the gambling scandal in 1998 and banned by the league for his lifetime. After leaving pro baseball, Chen was a coach for Dali High School from 2007 to present (2023).
