Biographical Information[edit]
Chih-Wei Jen played in the CPBL and for the Chinese Taipei national baseball team.
Jen represented Taiwan in the 1989 World Junior Championship, 1990 World Junior Championship, 1995 Asian Championship and 1995 Intercontinental Cup. Jen was honored as the All-Star DH in the 1995 Asian Championship. He hit .278/.350/.389 as the Taiwanese DH in the 1995 Intercontinental Cup. The Chianan Luka signed Jen when the Taiwan Major League formed in 1996, but he didn't play well, as he only batted .244/.320/.302 in two years with the Luka, and was released after the 1998 season. The Wei Chuan Dragons signed Jen in 1999, and he hit .268/.367/.366 with two dingers. He won his only Taiwan Series Title with the Dragons in that year, but when the Dragons dissolved, no team was interested in signing Jen, and he then left the league.
