Biographical Information[edit]
Chia-Yuan Chang played in the CPBL for 4 years.
Chang represented Taiwan in the 2003 World Port Tournament. The Uni-President Lions drafted him in the fifth round of the 2003 CPBL Draft, and he hit .210/.288/.257 in his rookie year. He then had a .203/.257/.232 batting line in 2006, and he only got 8 at-bats in 2007. The Lions released him after the 2007 season, and the Chinatrust Whales picked him up. Chang recorded a .260/.347/.331 batting line in 2008. However, he went undrafted in the special draft after the Whales were expelled after the 2008 season, and his professional career ended.
Overall, Chang had hit .231/.310/.285 with 81 hits in 4 seasons in the CPBL.
