Biographical Information

Chia-Hung Chen pitched in the CPBL for 3 years.

Chen was drafted by the Macoto Cobras in the first round of the 2005 CPBL Draft, and he was 2-3 with a 3.59 ERA in his rookie year. He then went 4-1 with a 4.10 ERA in 2007, and he slumped to 1-8 with a 7.15 ERA in 2008. When the DMedia T-Rex (the Cobras had changed their name) were expelled in 2008, Chen went undrafted in the special draft, and his professional career ended.

Overall, Chen was 7-12 with a 4.74 ERA, struck out 93 and pitched 182 1/3 innings in 3 seasons in the CPBL. His repertoire included a fastball (peak 88.8 mph), slider, sinker and forkball.
