Biographical Information[edit]
Chia-Chi Lin was a pitcher, coach and manager.
Lin served in the Taiwanese Air Force. He pitched for the Taiwanese national team in the 1976 Amateur World Series, 1977 Intercontinental Cup, 1982 Amateur World Series (appearing in a win over Italy) and 1983 Intercontinental Cup (getting hit hard by the Dutch national team, but Taiwan got the Bronze Medal). At the time, there was no professional league in Taiwan. He became coach of Chinese Culture University in 1990 and was head coach of Taiwan in the 1993 Universiade. When the Taiwan Major League formed, he was pitching coach for Taipei Gida from 1997-1999 and for Taichung Agan in 2001-2002. In 2008, he spent part of the year as manager of the dMedia T-Rex and part of the year as their pitching coach. He coached for Taiwan in the 2012 Asian Youth Championship.
