Biographical Information[edit]

Cheo Garcia played in the minor leagues and CPBL.

Garcia began his professional career with the Minnesota Twins, and he hit .259/.317/.351 for the Elizabethton Twins in his first year. He had a .235/.270/.342 batting line for the Kenosha Twins in 1989, then he crushed 10 homers with a .274/.354/.412 batting line for the Visalia Oaks in 1990. Garcia then hit .282/.350/.401 with the Orlando Sun Rays in 1991, and he stole 32 bases with a .258/.304/.346 batting line in Orlando in 1992. He was 4th in steals in Southern League in 1992, between Tony Tarasco and Scott Bullett. Garcia went to the Boston Red Sox in 1993, and he hit .260/.306/.351 in 96 games for the Pawtucket Red Sox. After playing for the Tigres de Aragua for four seasons, Garcia signed with the Chinatrust Whales in 1998. However, he went 2-for-18 for the Whales in 7 games, then he was released. Garcia announced his retirement in 2000.
