Biographical Information

Chao Lu has pitched for the Guangdong Leopards of the China Baseball League. He was a reliever for the Chinese national team in the 2017 World Baseball Classic, and his only appearance was against Australia. Lu succeeded Andrew Chin in the 8th inning, and he gave up a leadoff single to David Kandilas. He fanned Robbie Perkins, but Brad Harman and Mitch Nilsson then drew back-to-back walks. James Beresford crushed a 3-run home run, and Lu finally retired Aaron Whitefield and Luke Hughes to end that inning.
