Biographical Information[edit]
Chan-yeol Yang has played in the Korea Baseball Organization and for the South Korean national team.
He was 1 for 9 with a double, two walks and a run in the 2018 U23 Baseball World Cup. [1] In the 2019 Asian Championship, he started in center for South Korea and hit .400/.462/.500. [2] The Doosan Bears took him in the 8th round of the 2020 KBO draft. [3] He was 5-for-22 with 3 walks, 5 runs and 3 RBI as a rookie in 2020, then did not play in 2021 due to mandatory military service. In 2022, he hit .244/.333/.402 in 94 plate appearances over 41 games, then batted .239/.313/.307 in 2023.
