Biographical Information[edit]

César Cerón was the youngest member of the Salvadoran national team in the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games, about three months younger than Emerson Bonilla. He was their starting second baseman despite his age. In their opener, he hit 8th against Curaçao. He struck out against Temesh Lourens his first time up but then singled off him the next. He finished at .231/.286/.231 with one RBI in five games, fielding .864. He tied Jason Flores for second on the team in hits (3, one behind José Medina). He tied Alex Monsalve and Melvin Deras for the event lead in errors (3). [1]
