Category talk:Swedish National Team Players
Pär Axelsson is the 50th guy in this category. Our 35th country to get there - the 16 teams from the first two World Baseball Classics, then Nicaragua, Spain, the Netherlands Antilles, Britain, Germany, France, Brazil, Belgium, Greece, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Colombia, Guatemala, the Philippines, Russia, Pakistan, Argentina, Israel and now Sweden. Given how long Sweden's fielded a team (longest active stretch in the European Championship, going back to the 60s or 70s), I'm surprised they're the 12th European country here. I guess being last alphabetically hindered them as I've been filling in red links at the top of the rosters pages more often than at the bottom. Also, the team has had less turnover IMO than some of the others - guys like the Johannessen brothers and Pilegård represented them for years and years. - --Mischa (talk) 16:47, 14 July 2017 (UTC)
The 100th player here is Simon Emanuelsson. They're the 27th country to 100, after the USA, Japan, South Korea, Cuba, Taiwan, the Netherlands, Venezuela, Italy, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, China, Nicaragua, Panama, Spain, Great Britain, South Africa, Germany, Brazil, Colombia, France, Belgium, Guatemala and the Netherlands Antilles. They have passed Greece, Croatia, Czechia, the Philippines, Russia, Pakistan, Argentina and Israel in the past four years. - Mischa (talk) 18:06, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
