Of the 27 players listed whose birthplaces we know, we have 12 guys actually born in Spain, 9 from Venezuela, 3 from Cuba, 2 from the Dominican Republic and 1 from the USA. Better in terms of homegrown talent than Britain at least. - --Mischa 12:04, 12 August 2009 (EDT)
Our 18th country with 50 or more entries, following the 16 teams from the World Baseball Classics and Nicaragua. - --Mischa 12:41, 3 August 2010 (EDT)
Óscar Chocarro brings us to 100 players. 17th country to 100, following USA, Japan, South Korea, Cuba, Taiwan, the Netherlands, Venezuela, Italy, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, China, Nicaragua and Panama. (the same 17 who preceded Spain to 50 minus South Africa). Panama was the last to reach 100, back in 2013, but Britain is closing in fast. - --Mischa (talk) 12:23, 22 May 2015 (EDT)
Antonio Redón is the 150th player here. They follow USA, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Cuba, Italy, the Netherlands, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, Canada, Australia, Mexico, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Panama, China and Great Britain. Pretty steady, with Britain passing them. - Mischa (talk) 15:33, 6 August 2020 (UTC)

They are the 21st country to 150, following the USA, Japan, South Korea, Cuba, Taiwan, the Dominican Republic, Canada, Venezuela, Mexico, Italy, Nicaragua, Panama, Puerto Rico, the Netherlands, Australia, Colombia, Brazil, Great Britain, China and Germany.
