Óscar Chocarro played for the Spanish national team. In the 1999 European Championship, he was 3 for 11 with a walk, splitting left field with Javier Arrondo and DH with José Arza. He hit .158/.238/.211 with one run and two RBI in six games in the 2001 European Championship, with 8 putouts, an assist and an error. Spanish Division Honor stats are unavailable online prior to 2008 (as of May 2015); in 2008, his final season, Chocarro hit .193/.298/.193 and fielded .966 for Beisbol Navarra.
