Biographical Information[edit]

Relief pitcher Carlos Gonzalez was taken by the Cincinnati Reds in the 21st round of the 2011 amateur draft, beginning his professional career that year.

His breakout season was 2014, when he was 5-0 with a 1.84 ERA with 15 saves and 30 games finished in 47 games for the Bakersfield Blaze and Pensacola Blue Wahoos. With the Surprise Saguaros of the Arizona Fall League, he had a 4.61 ERA in 11 games. Between the Pensacola and the Daytona Tortugas in 2015, he had a 2.72 mark in 41 games.
