Biographical Information[edit]

Carlos Berrios was a backup outfielder for the Nicaraguan national team in the mid-1990s. He did not bat in the 1993 Central American and Caribbean Games He split center field and leadoff with Sandy Moreno in the 1994 Central American Games, which Nicaragua won. He homered off Gustavo Suazo of Honduras in their opening win. In the 1994 Baseball World Cup, he went 1 for 4 with a HBP and 3 runs as the backup to Moreno in LF. In the 1995 Intercontinental Cup, he was 1 for 11 with a triple and a run, backing up Jorge Avellan at SS, Freddy Zamora in LF and Danilo Sotelo in CF. He was with Nicaragua in the 1995 Pan American Games; they won the Silver Medal. He was 1 for 10 with a homer and 3 RBI in the 1996 Olympics, backing up Anibal Vega in LF and Jose Padilla in RF. His hit was a homer off Dong-hwan Moon.
